Human Care1

Care is our outward focus rhythm. In addition to the specific “outreach” projects that are set up by The Branch, Missional Communities and Discipleship also help to foster this rhythm.

Our Care rhythm looks to foster a spirit of eliminating the “let’s serve THOSE people” mentality. Instead, we hope to begin living in the reality of “we are ONE OF those people”. Missional Communities also have the freedom to adopt local projects of Care that are within the neighborhoods they are planted in.

Laundry Love (LL) is our ongoing service to help cultivate a heart for Care. Laundry Love helps to wash the clothes and bedding of individuals and/or families who frequent local laundry mats in need of extra funds. From the infant to the aged, and across a broad spectrum of ethnicity, culture, and personal story, LL seeks to nurture the well being of each person through intentional networking and friendship building. We have adopted King’s Laundry in Harbor City and serve most 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. We also serve at the Coin-Op Laundry on Anaheim and Cedar, just two block from our church, every 1st and 3rd Thursdays from 1130 a.m. – 130 p.m. Click here if you’d like to financially support our efforts to love and care for the community.
